The beautiful Victorian detached house lies beside the Nidderdale Way, not far from the river Nidd. It is very popular with walkers, couples, and all those who like to be made to feel comfortable and special; whom we have been welcoming since 1998. Off street parking is at the rear, with secure garaging, should it be required.
If you are looking for a busy hotel, large guest-house,or a big B&B, then Prospect House is not it! We have two super double rooms with all facilities and offer a superb individual quality service. You will not be disappointed. .
Payment is for the room and Norma’s famous full English breakfast or a continental breakfast is free!
Although a large property, we remain a small exclusive guest-house offering up-market accommodation. A family run establishment, we are situated centrally in a nice location without through traffic; in the heart of the market town of Pateley Bridge, near Harrogate, in Nidderdale, designated an area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty'.
Quality en-suite rooms include tea and coffee making facilities, extra toiletries, a multi-channel flat screen TV, a fridge is supplied for your drinks etc, and there are wine and other glasses for your use. For your additional ease, all of our bedrooms have comfortable beds.
Served in our pleasant dining room a hearty Full-English breakfast with eggs usually from free-range chickens is something not to be missed. Vegetarians, and those with special dietary requirements, are happily catered for by request. An authentic continental breakfast can be provided if preferred.
Are you a ‘Downton Abbey’ fan? - we sit in the middle of the rural area mentioned in the series, and York is within reach for a day trip..
Fountains Abbey, Brimham Rocks, Bolton Abbey, Stump Cross Caverns, How Stean Gorge, Ripon, with its ancient Cathedral, and Skipton with its famous Castle are some of the attractions all within easy reach, as well as wonderful panoramic views.
Also in and around our quaint High Street, you can visit some great pubs, restaurants, and shops - including the famous 'Oldest sweetshop in the world', and there are craft workshops, art galleries, and an award winning Nidderdale Museum. In fact it's a great place to spent a getaway!
